    We are looking for an EHS Leader to work in our office in Andover, MA.

    Responsibilities

    • Primary interface with site employees to address EHS compliance issues.
    • Lead safety audits and inspections and create follow up on action plans for deficiencies
    • Prepare and submit complex regulatory reports and letters
    • Interact with OSHA, State and other regulatory agencies relative to reporting, EHS permits and licenses
    • Lead and maintain control of EHS programs, documents, and records
    • Manage, maintain and administer contractor safety and compliance programs
    • Drive the site EHS committee meetings, minutes and action items
    • Conduct new employee EHS orientation
    • Administer personal protective equipment to employees
    • Identify and correct non-compliance items
    • Lead incident investigations and ensure appropriate root causes are identified and corrective actions are developed/implemented
    • Evaluate working conditions, assess potential injury risks and develop corrective action plans and budgets to address deficiencies
    • Conduct risk assessments and develop and implement gap plans
    • Responsible for third party interface, agency reporting
    • Site responsibility for applying for EHS licenses and permits relevant to sales, service etc. of Rapiscan products.
    • Manage, maintain, and control the storage and disposal of hazardous materials (RCRA certification required)
    • Conduct Hazardous Material Training (HMT) so employees are properly trained prior to shipping hazardous materials.
    • Promote safety and employee engagement
    • Lead and conduct safety audits with facilities and follow-up with corrective actions
    • Develop internal safety awareness programs, ensuring training and compliance
    • Promote safety and employee engagement
    • Lead the Safety Committee, Emergency Response Team, and Evacuation Stewards, conduct drills and evacuations
    • Responsible for site radiation program
    • Assist radiation safety officer in storing, shipping, and controlling radiation sources
    • Maintain and keep updated, the site SDS log
    • Mange third party EHS vendors and contractors
    • Manage Lock Out Tag Out program
    • Manage the chemical hygiene plan
    • Maintain OSHA 300 log
    • Must be audit ready at all times
    • Conduct yearly reviews of all EHS policies and procedures

    • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in a related field is preferred.
    • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience
    • Experience must be relevant to a manufacturing, chemical safety and hazardous materials environment
    • Previous knowledge and experience of applying for health and safety permits and licenses
    • Must have an understanding of the following regulations

      • DOT 49 CFR
      • IATA
      • NFPA 70E
      • NFPA 101
      • MA DEP 310 CMR
      • EPA/RCRA CFR 40
      • G.L. 148
      • MA Fire 527 CMR
