    The Electro-Mechanical Technician plays a key role in the assembly and integration of complex x-ray machines –e.g. mechanical fitting, cabling and integration of PCBs, servers, cooling systems, HV power supplies, etc.

    Responsibilities

    • Building of RTT machines from engineering drawings, diagrams and work instructions
    • Ensure quality of build in all areas
    • Assist in other areas of shop floor as required
    • Ensure familiarity with stores and stock control and assist when directed
    • Support the development of work instructions
    • Support the improvement of the facility, including implementation of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, NCP, Kaizan

    Qualifications

    • 5 years experience of assembling complex electro-mechanical products
    • Ability to work quickly and accurately
    • Adaptability, good communication skills
    • Ability to work on own initiative and also follow work instructions
    • Ability to perform basic testing and problem solving
    • Ability to work accurately to procedures to produce work of consistent high quality
    • Able to integrate well into an established team supporting and assisting colleagues
    • GCSE level maths and English
    • A good general technical and electro-mechanical mind-set –e.g. understanding of electrical and mechanical documentation, drawings and specifications
    • Understanding of electrical and mechanical safety standards.
    • Experience of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, etc.
