    • Provide legal representation, advice and opinions regarding all legal matters concerned with OSI India’s business including but not limited to operational, commercial, financial and regulatory issues.
    • Responsible for providing legal representation, advice, counsel, and opinions in all areas of law affecting OSI India, including corporate laws,  factories law, labor and employment laws, environment laws, foreign exchange laws related to investments, external commercial borrowings,  etc., law of contracts, intellectual property, commercial agreements, real estate, statutory compliance, important legal documents and agreements and company’s policies and procedures.
    • Attend, if required, meetings of Board of Directors and/or its Committees to advice and brief the Board/Committee regarding legal or compliance matters.
    • Provide counsel and advice concerning compliance with central, state and local laws and regulations applicable to business interests of OSI India.
    • Act as a resource on the interpretation of existing or proposed local, state or central laws and regulations.
    • Provide legal representation, advice, and opinions in monitoring and resolving disputes that may lead to litigation. Manage and supervise litigation of OSI India at various forums including Supreme Court, High Court, District Courts and Tribunals.
    • Arrange and supervise outside counsels, who provide legal advice or representation in areas of special expertise or in litigation.
    • Maintain a current knowledge of legal issues of importance to OSI India through participation in continuing legal education and membership in appropriate bar and professional associations.
    • Assist as needed with responses to external requests for information, reporting, complaints or citations from external governmental or non-governmental organizations.
    • Serve as a source for independent review and evaluation of compliance to ensure that issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved.
    • Conduct risk assessments in order to identify and prioritize potential areas of vulnerability of compliance, internal controls and legal risks. Develop and in collaboration with relevant stakeholders across the Company implement corrective measures to resolve identified risk or areas of compliance weakness.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chairman of OSI India
    • Examine and advise on contracts and tenders.

    • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem
    • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.


    • A law degree from a recognized law school.
    • A minimum of 7+ Years of legal experience in corporate/commercial laws, having attained a senior position of responsibility in a firm, corporation, government agency or other organization that employs him or her.
    • Record of exercising excellent judgment on behalf of clients including in large and complex organizations and issues.
    • Commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards; personal and professional integrity beyond reproach; and unquestioned discretion in maintaining confidentiality.
    • Excellent written and oral communications skills in public and private settings with diverse audiences; ability to translate complex legal issues for a lay audience.
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate with a diverse population and relate well with other members of Lead Team, government/regulatory officials and external audiences.
    • A sense of urgency and responsiveness in dealing with internal clients and an ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner.








    OSI Systems, Inc. has three operating divisions: (a) Security, providing security and inspection systems, turnkey security screening solutions and related services; (b) Healthcare, providing patient monitoring, diagnostic cardiology and anesthesia systems; and (c) Optoelectronics and Manufacturing, providing specialized electronic components and electronic manufacturing services for original equipment manufacturers with applications in the defense, aerospace, medical and industrial markets, among others.
