    "Responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory/product line.  If incumbent is responsible for both existing and new accounts, match to Sales Account Manager - Direct - New Accounts (S631-S635).  If unable to distinguish between levels or only one level of account manager within the company, match to the career level.  The most highly populated individual contributor level (up to 75-80% of the individual contributor sales population) might be matched to the career level.  No more than 15-20% of individual contributor sales population would typically be matched to the advanced level.  National (country-wide) account managers should be matched to the Country Strategic Account Manager set of jobs."

    • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem
    • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
    • Responsible for the overall performance of the sales functions as allocated.
    • Develop in conjunction with Local, Regional and International Sales the 5 year roadmap for the business.
    • Review sales programs monthly to ensure compliance to contract deliverables.
    • Enforce strict adherence to Radiation and Industrial Safety guidelines and best practices.
    • Actively seek out new business opportunities in line with the company’s goals and objectives to help grow the business for Rapiscan Detection.
    • Monitor, manage and report on a monthly basis key metrics to ensure successful bookings for the business.
    • Focus on meeting the bookings budget and forecasts on a monthly and quarterly basis
    • Keep upper management informed on a monthly basis through status reports and of any issues and opportunities that impact the business on a more frequent basis
    • Encourage innovation and motivate people through free thinking to come up with ideas to help grow the business
    • Assist with due diligence efforts on acquisitions that help grow the revenue for Rapiscan Systems
    • Negotiate within appropriate delegations agreements, contracts and leases

    Qualifications

    WHAT EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS MUST THE CANDIDATE POSSESS?

    • Bachelors Degree in Business Adminstration, Marketing or related
    • Entrepreneurial, highly motivated, with a focused and disciplined approach to the sales process. Able to draw on past experience and judgment to make effective decisions.
    • Ability to build effective customer relationships, and to create sales and pricing strategies to close deals. Can think strategically and work tactically.
    • Strong presentation and communication skills for both internal and external audiences, at the top levels. Collaborative with highly developed relationship-building skills.
    • Experience delivering results through others, both direct and matrixed. Ability to lead, develop, motivate and hold others accountable.
    • Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes. Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
    • Competency in computer skills: MS Office, query tools, webex and database systems/applications.
    • Ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English
    • Successful completion of Rapiscan training required (including training done at Company location).
    • Must become fully competent in the application and operation of all assigned products and systems.
    • Must maintain a good driving record and be insurable per company policy. Observe all applicable company safety policies and practices.
    • Must be able to complete job responsibilities working with different time zones such as attending late night/early morning meetings by phone and/or web to meet global business needs.
    • Domestic and international travel required - >50%; must be able to acquire all necessary travel documents.
