    The Technical Trainer and Learning Content Designer will develop, deliver and evaluate training programmes to the highest standard; ensuring continued development of all learning programmes to meet the requirements of internal and external stakeholders. This role will create bespoke training materials to be used in training programmes and design hands-on exercises to enhance lectures and reinforce training.


    The role is responsible for the development and delivery of eLearning, instructor-led training courses and virtual classroom training based upon technical documentation and technical maintenance for the Rapiscan product line. The role will support the delivery and development of our technical training portfolio based upon needs from the business for both technical and non-technical audiences.


    The role holder will coordinate technical training and learning best practices as needed as well as monitor feedback on training instructional design, coordination, delivery, and training portfolio production.


    • Deliver high quality training courses and training material for a variety of audiences.
    • Drive curricula and training programmes to help clients and customers become more knowledgeable and efficient with our products.
    • Take ownership and co-ordinate the delivery of training courses which have been assigned.
    • Design new, and update previous classroom content in line with adult learning methodologies.
    • Design eLearning and Digital Learning content to support the implementation of a blended learning training portfolio.
    • Ensure training delivery meets current product specifications and business learning objectives; designing and updating training content regularly to ensure it reflects the current release of the Rapiscan product.
    • Continuously work to improve training design and delivery by keeping abreast of industry approaches and new learning methodology.
    • Conduct training needs analysis on training content to support business objectives delivery; measuring the success and efficiency of training courses to ensure that it is relevant and current.
    • Support the training delivery of new product line rollouts.
    • Assist the global training team with any additional training related duties, as required.
    • Collate and support the accurate storage of our student attendance records, inputting these into our learning database.
    • Work alongside all training and teaching professionals to develop the training provision globally.
    • Complete any other ad-hoc duties when required.


    Experience & Attributes:


    • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a technical trainer, systems trainer or training professional (or equivalent.)
    • Experience in learning design, instructional design and/or creating technical documentation for training courses; which includes writing and updating current course material.
    • Good communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
    • Highly experienced in a wide range of engineering or technical disciplines; electronics, electrical, electromechanical, PC’s, software, coding, mechanical etc.
    • An excellent record of developing and delivering training across a variety of audiences and global locations.
    • Experience of stakeholder management and liaising with both internal and external customers.
    • Confident in one’s own ability to pass their knowledge onto others.
    • Experience in eLearning development and Digital Learning design
    • Previous experience in an X-Ray systems environment. (Preferred but not essential.)

    Experience & Attributes:


    • Must hold a relevant training qualification e.g. PTTLS, AET, CIPD etc.
    • Experience working with, and competent in using, eLearning software or authoring tools e.g. Articulate 360, Camtasia etc.
    • Knowledge in using and working with online delivery tools e.g. WebEx
    • Qualification in a technical field, such as a HNC in Electronics or equivalent in relevant technical role (Preferred but not essential.)
    • Appropriate level of occupation competence.
