    OSIE currently is looking for a Process Engineer to support our manufacturing operations in Hawthorne, CA.



    • Develop PCBA process and assembly instructions and documentation to support product released to manufacturing for both ROHS and non-ROHS processes.
    • Maintain and update documents changes per customer and internal changes.
    • Facilitate new product introduction and conduct sustaining engineering functions for SMT, Thru-hole, Box build, and Cable assemblies.
    • Determine process requirements, assembly tooling, equipment and training requirements. May Perform ROI and cost justifications when necessary.
    • Perform time, efficiency and process studies and recommend solutions for improvement of PCB Assemblies.
    • Streamlining manufacturing processes, procedures, work instructions to improve first pass yield, eliminate rework and scrap.
    • Interface with customers, vendors, production, program managers, materials and quality to resolve engineering and production issues.
    • Handle multiple projects and priorities in a teamwork environment and perform job functions in a timely manner.

    • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem
    • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.


    • BS Degree in Engineering (preferred Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering) and 0-2 years’ experience in PCB assemblies. Will accept 5+ years of PCB assembly experience in lieu of education.
    • PC skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Visio, AutoCAD or SolidWorks)
    • Aegis (C/C, C/P, Fusion Analytics) and Navision Experience a plus.
    • PFMEA and PPAP experience is a plus
    • Experience/Knowledge in IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610 and IPC-WHMA-A-620 standards
    • Programing of automated equipment (AOI, Laser Marker, Selective Soldering, Wire cutting, etc…) and tooling is a plus  
    • Non telecommuting position; must have a physical presence in the production area on a daily and ongoing basis.
    • Ability to effectively read, write and communicate using the English language.
