    PFC, a division of OSI Electronics, is seeking Process Engineer to support our manufacturing area. Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products. Develops and conducts statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality. Interacts with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.

    Responsibilities

    • Proof read process flow sheets to determine if the correct steps are included for manufacturing process, materials and order
    • Inspect in-coming dies (Chemical Mill Dies and Hard Tools)
    • Ensure they include the proper size pins and tooling holes
    • Measure on CMM rule location as it relates to tooling holes
    • Inspect blade edges for damage
    • Maintenance Schedules
    • Maintaining all equipment maintenance logs and coordinating preventative maintenance schedules
    • Maintaining asset list
    • Installation of all new equipment and machinery including coordination of outside contractors
    • Servicing equipment according to manufacturer’s schedule
    • Inspecting and changing all filtration units for the equipment and building
    • Inspection and maintenance of all lighting systems
    • Repair and maintenance of all hard tooling used in the process
    • Maintenance of plasma pumps
    • Coordination of all building HVAC issues
    • Testing of all new products such as screening inks, masks, shielding inks etc.
    • Coordination of electronic scrap disposal
    • Assisting with R&D work which requires special care and handling as well as setting up the process parameters for prototype work
    • Suggesting and implementing process changes

    • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem
    • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business

    Qualifications

    • Minimum secondary school diploma, EE or ME
    • Skilled trade license either Millwright or Industrial Electrician would be a benefit
    • 2-5 years experience process engineering or flexible circuit industry experience
    • Specific Skills:
      • Equipment troubleshooting
      • IPC Standards
      • Electrical Wiring
      • Printed Circuit Board processing
      • Working with hand tools
      • Ability to effectively manage outside suppliers and contractors
    • Experience:
      • Knowledge of and experience with machinery repair and maintenance
      • Experience with printed circuit board manufacturing
      • Familiarity with IPC standards
      • Previous work with stamping presses and associated safety requirements
