    The primary role of this position is to provide support for anesthesia products supplied by the US Subsidiary. This position will ensure that support plans and processes are designed and implemented to ensure that anesthesia products can be properly maintained within product performance specifications.  

    Responsibilities

    • Serving as an interface between the anesthesia manufacturing business areas and the US Subsidiary.
    • Designing and implementing service support plans for all anesthesia products sold by the US Subsidiary. These will comprehensively address the following requirements: Technical Documentation, Training, Equipment Inventories, Tooling, Spare Part Availability and Service Product Offerings.
    • Specifying and meeting the anesthesia technical training needs of the US Subsidiary.
    • Assisting in the administration of MFG/PRO to ensure accurate item master input, product structure maintenance and installed base maintenance set up.
    • Routinely communicating to the US Sales Subsidiary regarding product and service support issues.
    • Providing sustaining support for all anesthesia products released and supported by the US Subsidiary.
    • Providing support for issues escalated from the Technical Support Triage Team. This will include complaint handling, participating with teams that investigate product issues and the development of associated action plans.
    • Implementation of Field Actions / Product Recalls coupled with accurate and timely feedback of completion status.
    • Designing and implementing obsolescence policies for discontinued products.
    • Other duties as required.
    • Travel will be required both domestic and international and is expected to be approximately 50%.

    • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Electronics, Biomedical Technology, or Associate Degree plus equivalent training and work experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in technical field service, technical support, technical advisory position, quality assurance or regulatory affairs.
    • Experience with anesthesia related technology in a hospital or healthcare environment is essential.
    • Knowledge of personal computer, application software, databases and other applicable PC software is required.
    • Advanced level of personal communication skills both written and oral. Technical writing skills preferred. Ability to speak in front of large audiences is essential.
