    Based in Great Shelford near Cambridge, Rapiscan Systems (UK) is the international headquarters for Trace Detection Systems sales and service operations. A small but effective team delivers sales and service support functions to a network of colleagues, customers and partners across the globe which forms the market leader

    in detection system supply and services.


    • Reporting to and assisting the Service Operations Manager
    • Assisting UK service and sales administration staff
    • Receive, schedule, process and repair all instruments that return to Rapiscan Systems UK for repair, calibration or routine service. Ensure customers are informed as to the progress of the return and repairs are carried out in the most efficient and speedy manner
    • Ongoing maintenance of the sales demonstration equipment ensuring machines are operational and ready for despatch when they are required. Liaise with sales administration to ensure a smooth instrument booking and servicing partnership.
    • Organisation of RMA (Return Material Authorisation) communications for both external returns to Rapiscan Systems (UK) from customers and the return of faulty parts to Rapiscan Systems, USA.
    • Uphold the Company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
    • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the Company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct. Ensure that direct report(s) are trained and evaluated on their knowledge and adherence to the Company’s values, Code of Ethics and Conduct, and applicable compliance policies.
    • Manage, evaluate and develop team of employees to meet functional deliverables and responsibilities. Complete company people management requirements. Exhibit manager core competencies.
    • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
    • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.


    • Good grades in GCSE English and Mathematics
    • Good computer skills and technical capability
    • Confident, reliable and enthusiastic 
    • Working towards a BTEC ONC or OND in Electronic and or Mechanical Engineering
