PFC, a division of OSI Electronics is seeking a Senior Accountant.

Responsibilities

  • Financial reporting of monthly results of PFC in accordance with the Corporate Calendar. This includes various required reports and interface with corporate staff.
  • Review and analyze month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial data. Monthly preparation of PFC financial statements with appropriate analysis to highlight variances from budget and forecasts.
  • Proactively provide timely analysis and interpretation as required to communicate specific issue within PFC finance and PFC operations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, company procedures, tax and government reporting requirements, as necessary.
  • Interface with Corporate: Finance, Treasury, IT and HR to help solve PFC issues; interface with internal and external auditors, as necessary.
  • Coordinate and compile annual budget and monthly forecasts.
  • Ad hoc analysis as required by PFC Managing Director, OSIE President, Opto Group Controller, Corporate Controller and CFO.
  • Monitor sources and uses of cash for PFC.

  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications

 

  • Strong and mature leader. 7 - 10+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting, supervisory experience a plus.
  • Operationally savvy and proactive to identify and resolve issues.
  • Well rounded background, in a manufacturing environment, which includes cost accounting, A/P, A/R, budgeting, month/year end closings and familiar with ERP systems.
  • Several years of progressive experience in financial management for a manufacturing company.
  • BS degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, accounting, budgeting and forecasting methods required.
  • Excellent organizational, interactive, and communication skills.
  • Periodic travel, as necessary.
  • Computer literate and familiar with spreadsheet and database application software.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
