American Science and Engineering, an OSI Systems Company is seeking an Electrical Technician III in its Billerica, MA Facility.

The Electrical Technician III will test, build, modify, repair, troubleshoot and debug electronic and electromechanical equipment. Will support products in all phases of the development cycle and provide technical support to Electrical Engineers and other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Services electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, circuit modules, printed circuit boards, and similar electronic devices.
  • Produce electrical CAD drawings and BOMs.
  • A special advantage would be knowledge & experience with PLCs, embedded circuits, optoelectronic components and/or low voltage power distribution (up to 480VAC).
  • Must have PC experience especially with Microsoft office packages i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. and an extra advantage would be knowledge of LabView, schematic capture and PCB layout software.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering Technology field relevant to electrical, electronics, and/or electromechanical systems.
  • 5 years' experience desired.
  • Knowledge of soldering and use of standard test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
  • Must be US Persons based on ITAR definition (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)**This position is expected to be exposed to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaninig of U.S. regulations.
