This Manager of Global Supply Chain (GSC) is responsible for the development, ownership and management of the global supply chain. Leads and continuously develops direct reports to ensure their work aligns to supply chain strategies, initiatives and business needs which includes total cost analysis, contract and pricing negotiations, influencing suppliers to invest in improved performance, implementation of supplier programs such as VMI, drop ship, lean enterprise and six sigma.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supply chain leader for assigned business segments and/or commodities
  • Oversee the development, execution and progress communications of commodity and/or supplier strategies to achieve improved supplier performance (quality, cost and delivery) and risk mitigation in a cross-functional environment.
  • Work with Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Quality to develop a supply chain to support customer and business objectives
  • Develop, communicate and implement inbound and outbound supply chain strategies to ensure customer satisfaction and supply continuity at competitive total costs.
  • Implement practices and behaviors to meet key performance indicators and ensuring compliance to Quality Management System and other regulatory requirements
  • Lead Supplier Selection Activities, Supplier Contract Negotiations and Contract reviews, Lead integration activities and process improvement teams
  • Perform and document Supplier Business Reviews, ensure supplier has clear direction and can meet delivery, quality and forecast requirements
  • Participate and/or support New Product Development (NPI) programs; promote early supplier involvement (ESI)
  • Serve as an escalation path for all Supply Chain issues and arrange for resolving them in a timely fashion.
  • Work with Legal to establish and enforce commercial agreements; assist Supplier Quality in the creation and enforcement of Quality Agreements

  • It is the responsibility of every Spacelabs Healthcare employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or other related discipline. Masters degree desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience performing supplier selections, evaluations and performance monitoring. (overall relevant experience determines level)
  • 2+ years’ experience managing teams, including the ability to structure work, select employees, and achieve desired results in a productive environment
  • Successful leadership skills including the ability to structure work, select employees, and achieve desired results in a productive environment
  • Conduct analysis to provide useful information; use and share information and best practices
  • Working knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques, DFx, Lean, Six Sigma
  • Experience facilitating cost reduction activities desired and/or other cross functional team based activity
  • Experience delivering results through others, both direct and matrixed.  Ability to lead, develop, motivate, organize and prioritize, and hold others accountable
  • In depth understanding of ERP systems
  • Must be able to complete job responsibilities working with different time zone needs such as attending late night/early morning meetings by phone and/or web to meet business needs.
  • Domestic travel required <5%  If international travel is required, add: Must travel internationally and be able to acquire all necessary travel documents, up to 20% of the time
