The Calibration Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that Spacelabs equipment throughout the Snoqualmie site is calibrated as required, and that record-keeping is accurate. This position works under the direction of Operations Engineering.  Works closely with approved calibration service providers to ensure that calibration activities are successfully conducted and documented. 



  • Schedule calibrations. Inspect calibration equipment. Review and monitor calibration work and reports for completeness and timeliness per procedure. Make decisions regarding the “go/no go” use of calibrated equipment.
  • Maintain records of all calibrated equipment, through the use of a tracking database. Ensure that calibration records are properly updated and available. Must follow QMS and document control procedures.
  • Work with internal and external resources to coordinate retrieval, calibration and repair of equipment. Maintain accurate equipment logs at point of use detailing dates calibrated equipment was brought into, or removed from, service.
  • May perform basic calibrations and equipment repairs as required.
  • Create and monitor performance metrics to accurately report the effectiveness and compliance of the calibration program.
  • Own the operations engineering laboratory as well as calibration laboratory to ensure organization and cleanliness.
  • Improve operational organization by identifying process improvements to calibration coordination activities. Activities to reduce calibration costs will be a strong focus.
  • Work closely with the on staff calibration technicians to ensure calibrations are documented properly in the calibration database.
  • Own coordinating out of tolerance investigations when an out of tolerance condition is identified. Metrics associated with out of tolerances will be owned as well.
  • Support audit activities when required to present calibration necessary for internal and external audits. At this level this is strictly a support activity.

  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business..


  • 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or lab environment.
  • Electrical Technician degree or equivalent experience is highly desired.
  • Knowledge and professional experience with calibration operations is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of Spacelabs equipment and operations a plus.
  • Effective recordkeeping and data entry skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet schedules. Can work independently to meet assigned tasks with limited supervision.
  • Experience working positively and productively in a team environment. Highly collaborative.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
