OSI Optoelectronics has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to plan, lead and drive strategic growth opportunities in the region. The ideal candidate will have responsibility for identifying and developing new opportunities in the Photo Detector and PCBA as well as managing and supporting base customer relationships. Responsibilities

  • Flexibility to travel throughout the Western US
  • Relationship management with existing OEMs
  • Develop, manage and support sales activities in several industries
  • Identify new business opportunities for our technologies; quantify and prioritize work load.
  • Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct
  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in EE, EM, Physics preferred
  • 5-10 years sales experience in the Optoelectronics Industry (Photo Diode, Laser, LED, etc)
  • Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills
  • Strong people skills, a “doer” and a team player
  • Demonstrable track record of individual sales development success in their current or most recent positions
  • Engineering or Technical background and the ability to appreciate the technical value proposition we offer
  • Able to travel 50% of the time in CA via automobile
  • Extensive knowledge of the regional markets for:
    • Telecom
    • Industrial
    • Health care
    • Defense
    • OEM Manufacturing   
  • Must be US Persons based on ITAR definition (US Citizen or Permanent Resident).* This position is expected to be exposed to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  All Applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of U.S. regulations.
